Half the Perfect World

Half is all I ask for. Half the Perfect World..with..
No Powerpoints. Not even if I am good at making them. No Excel. No Outlook. In fact, no Microsoft Office. No Internet Explorer. Lots of instances of Chrome. Youtube. Random net surfing. Travel Sites.
Rather, lots of travel. Beaches. Long Drives. Sunshine. No rains. March-like weather, for the entire year. Long vacation.
Holidays. Leaves. Since its my perfect world, make that leave from vacation to go work. Why not, flexiblework play hours. But, good pay, haan? Bonus. Good appraisal. No performance pay. No performance required.
No business jargon. No templates. Work only if you love it. Else, just sit at home. No pressure. No graphs.
Good health. But no pressure to stay fit. Eat. Loads of fruits. Chips. Nachos. No milk. No paneer. No dal makhani. Pizza yes. Ice Cream. Sitaphal. French Fries. Everyday. Subway too. Bhindi. Fry? Yes.
Music. Nickelback. What? I like Nickelback. Rockstar. Good old songs. Aapki Nazaron Ne Samjha? Yes. Tere Bina Zindagi Se Koi Shikhwa? Yes! I am weird that way. But my perfect world.
Romantic songs. Romance. Yes. Sweet messages. Not too many, though. Quiet evening. Watch a movie. Not too many people around. Good enough.
Which reminds me. Movies. Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron. Angoor. Chupke Chupke. Golmaal. Obviously, the old one. Choti Si Baat. Basically, Amol Palekar. And the likes. Also, animated movies. Toy Story? Yes. All Parts. Up! For sure.
Up Brings me to dreams. Loads of dreams. Getting fulfilled. Even the crazy ones. Like Coldplay concert. Eric Clapton Concert. Learn Guitar. Properly. Write. A Book! Live Ruskin Bond’s life for a Day.
Oh. How could I forget! Books. Nice ones. Starting with Enid Blyton. Roald Dahl. Complicated ones, funny ones. Those that everyone hates. Those that everyone loves. Oh. So many of them. A long list of unread books, which makes me feel hopeful about the times to come!
So much to do. So little time. Such an imperfect world.
In my perfect world, I would be at home right now, in Delhi. Reading a book, listening to good music. But here I am. Waiting for someone to say, “Coffee”, so I can get out of this space. This space is an anomaly in my perfect world.
But meh. Atleast I can blog about it! 🙂
